Ubuntu Server Administrator
Requirements
- Linux skills does not have to be Ubuntu only; Good Linux skills are needed (however, candidate should know Ubuntu well)
- Must be great at Linux setup, config, firewall and security
- Must Know Apache well (e.g. how to set Apache as a front end and maintain hosts, etc.)
- Must Know Virtual Machines both Workstation and ESXi
- Knowledge of Open LDAP
- Knowledge of Kerberos PostFix
- Basic Database skills such as setup and backups (MySQL preferred)
- Must speak English well enough to work with American staff internally (Not customer facing)
- Moderate at scripting in shells
- Must be able to setup Tomcat
- Knowledge of backup schemes, scripts and automation
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering degree or equivalent
Additional Experience
- Working knowledge of SonicWall firewalls
- Basic Windows Server setup skills
- Deploy WAR files onto Tomcat/JBoss Servers
- Knowledge of storage devices
- Knowledge of PHP
- Experience setting up and maintain applications such as JIRA, Confluence, Perforce, Subversion, Sugar CRM, HP Quality Center, HP QTP, DOORs and ClearCase
Senior Tomcat/Java SW Engineer
Requirements
- Strong Tomcat development experience
- Strong Java development skills and experience building robust enterprise applications
- GUI design experience using user-centered design approach
- Strong understanding of OO methodologies and approaches
- Strong working knowledge of Java programming language and platform
- Strong working knowledge and ability to research and adapt open source software tools
- Strong relational database knowledge and experience
- Strong software quality skills with the ability to create and maintain meaningful unit tests
- Linux and Windows skills
- Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills
- Must speak/read/write English
- Experience in Ajax Web development and frameworks: DRW, dojo, yiu, Swing, JBoss, Tomcat
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering degree or equivalent
Additional Experience
- Knowledge of Atlassian JIRA, Bamboo, Crowd, HP Quality Center and QTP
- Knowledge of Web services technologies (SOAP/WSDL/RSS/Atom/REST/Apache)
- Knowledge of Modern IDEs (Eclipse preferred)
- Knowledge of Hibernate/JPA/EJB3 and general object-relation mapping/persistence
- Knowledge of JUnit/TestNG and other software quality tools
- Knowledge of Security APIs including JSSE, JAAS and working knowledge of cryptographic tools and software vulnerability and threat assessment techniques
- Knowledge of large-scale relational and dimensional data modeling
- Knowledge of Content representation and transformation technologies such as XML, XSLT and/or XPath
